This post is the second part in the #DarkcirclesDiaries series. The first part that I have written deals with Dark circles caused due to Hyperpigmentation. Another reason for dark circles to occur is thinning skin under the eyes. Thin or transparent skin under the eyes reveal the dark blood vessels underneath; in some people it can be seen as blue or green veins, depending on their complexion, making the person look like as if he/ she possesses dark circles.

As we get older the thin skin under the eyes get even thinner so the aim here is to thicken the skin under the eyes.

  2. How to find out if you possess thin under eye skin genetically
  3. Solution to thinning under eye skin

CAUSES OF THINNING UNDER EYE SKIN

Thinning of the skin under the eyes can be caused due to the following reasons:

  1. Ageing

As we age we tend to lose the fat/ collagen around the eyes and also the skin loses its elasticity and ability to regenerate, this further thins the skin around the eyes which are already thin by nature thus exposing prominent and permanent dark circles.

  1. Heredity

Some people acquire dark circles through their genetically obtained thin skin under the eyes, which again leads to a permanent presence of dark circles

Since permanent dark circles is the most difficult situation to deal with, hence if you want to permanently have it removed its best to consult a dedicated doctor in this field. Not much can be done when it comes to these kind of situations, however we can resort to remedies that helps us from further worsening the situation and also try to reduce it over extended period of time by following the home remedies mentioned later in this post religiously.

HOW TO FIND OUT  IF YOU POSSESS THIN UNDER EYE SKIN GENETICALLY

If you find out you have genetically acquired thin under eye skin then you can stop it from further thinning as you age. So though you may not possess dark circles now, as you age this thin skin will lead to further thinning and expose dark circles.

To find out if you have thin skin under eyes, try to see if you have prominent blueish or greenish veins beneath the skin around your eyes. Fair skinned people have it blue, darker complexions have it green, for albinos with their kind of complexion the veins can look purplish. If this is spotted that means your skin is more prone to further skin thinning as you age and now you are lucky to have come across this post so you can prevent those dark circles from being permanent later in your life.

SOLUTION TO THINNING UNDER EYE SKIN

The following can be done to boost the thin skin under the eyes:

  1. Hydration
  2. Moisturizing
  3. Cell regeneration

NATURAL HOME REMEDIES TO GET RID OF DARK CIRCLES DUE TO THIN UNDER EYE SKIN

The below mentioned methods are to be followed on a regular basis to assist in thickening the under eye area something which cannot be achieved overnight or will yield immediate results. In case of thinning skin due to age or genetically obtained thin skin, both of which are difficult situations to treat, the situation can only be dealt with over a prolonged period but when practiced religiously it will provide good results over the course of time.

Also, if you are young and already possess thin skin under eyes (in such a way the bluish or greenish veins beneath the skin are visible), further thinning of the skin may occur which causes dark circles to be more prominent as you age. To prevent this you can use the following ingredients while you are still young even though now your dark circles may not look very obvious.
