Botanics All Bright Refreshing Eye Roll on (from Boots)

Hey there! So, continuing with my review about the products of the Botanics brand I bought from Boots. We have next in line the under eye roll on cream.

[Also, if you are interested in reviews of other Botanics products then check out my previous posts:

  1. Botanics Softening Cleanser

According to me, it does not provide any drastic results or any visible changes as such. However it does provide a timely relief. Due to its metallic roll on tip this provides a good cooling sensation and allows smooth gliding of the cream to the under eye area. Rightfully as the packaging says, it is truly refreshing.

Soft and slightly sticky (very slightly, nothing that you will have problem with)

The metallic/ steel roll on tip provides easy application and allows a smooth gliding action and thus, spreads the cream well and evenly over the required area.

Plastic tube with steel roll on tip. Very small in size, hence great to travel with.

Very affordable. It cost me around 3.5 Omani Rial (USD 9), if I’m right. Under eye creams that are this budget friendly are actually pretty rare.

Does not create any drastic results; however, it does provide a soothing effect and also you can notice that your under eye bags are not very prominent if you use this on a daily basis.

I believe, you won’t find it erasing your bags or dark circles, however you can find a slight change, as in the under eye bags will look less prominent and the redness also reduces (but you’ve got to use it daily).

The metallic tip giving the cooling effect is what I totally loved; very relaxing too after a long tiring day of computer glaring. The eye cream per se is nothing great.

The table below shows the ingredients present in the cream as mentioned on its cover.  Along with it I have mentioned the rating provided by Skin Deep Cosmetics Database, EWG and rating by Paula’s Choice.

According to the EWG Cosmetics database the rating is as follows:

1-2 : Low Hazard

3-6 : Moderate Hazard

7-10: High Hazard

According to Paula’s choice website the rating is as follows:

  1. Best
  2. Good
  3. Average
  4. Poor

By taking an average based on both the websites’ rating, I have marked the moderate hazard ingredients with yellow and high hazard ingredients with red for your easy reference.

Would I buy again

Um, I don’t think so. As I am in transition phase of shifting to more natural cleaner products, hence I will be exploring and wanting to try out something better. When I find something of the sorts, I will surely let you know too!

Do I recommend

I am not against this product, however, when I do recommend a product, I want it to be something I totally believe in and know for sure that it will benefit you 100 %. So, as of now I personally wouldn’t recommend. But, if budget is an issue for you and you just want something soothing and refreshing under your eye while you sleep and if you are not looking for targeting any specific issues such as dark circles, then well, you can give it a try. Its pretty cheap too. You will love the roll on tip, I can guarantee you that.
